Plans on CD
Response plans and related reference materials are ideal candidates for publication on CD-ROM. CDs can be copied and distributed much less expensively than paper plans, and they take up much less space. RCP has developed single CDs that contain over 20,000 pages of relevant material… all of which could be useful during an event, including state and federal phone directories, natural resource damage assessment information, navigation maps, Area Contingency Plans, satellite photography, and more. If these materials were only published in paper form, they would be inaccessible to everyone but a well-supplied headquarters library. On a CD, however, each member of the spill response team can carry a copy with them at all times, and use it from any Windows PC.
Intranet / Internet Document Publication
Regulatory compliance groups are natural repositories for large volumes of information - rules, regulations, guidance documents, internal memoranda, agency notices and correspondence, permits and their related records, and so on.
